WesBanco Continues Dividend Recovery


WesBanco (WSBC) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.16 per share after Friday’s closing bell, which is a 6.7% increase over its previous two payouts and a 14.3% improvement over the dividend paid during the same period last year by the bank holding company.

The parent company of WesBanco Bank ended years of consistent dividend growth by slashing its quarterly dividend in half (from $0.28 down to $0.14 per share) in 2009. WesBanco gave its first post-cut dividend hike (a 7.1% increase) back in February.

Shares of WSBC closed Friday’s session trading at $18.17, where they now feature a 3.52% dividend yield.
