S.Y. Bancorp Gives Shareholders a 6% Raise


S.Y. Bancorp (SYBT) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.19 per share this morning, which is a 5.6% improvement over the $0.18 per share paid each of the previous five quarters by the bank holding company.

Aside from a flat 2009, the parent of Stock Yards Bank & Trust Company has improved its dividend output every year since 1991.

Shares of SYBT closed last week trading at $22.86, where they now yield 3.32%. The stock is up more than 8% already this year.
