RenaissanceRe Lifts Dividend for 17th Consecutive Year


RenaissanceRe Holdings Ltd. (RNR) announced a 4% increase to its dividend after today’s closing bell, setting up 2012 to be the 17th consecutive year of dividend growth for the provider reinsurance and insurance products.

RenaissanceRe declared a quarterly dividend of $0.27 per share, topping the $0.26 per share it had paid each of the previous four quarters. The company has increased its payout every year since its 1995 initial public offering.

Shares of RNR closed today’s session trading at $72.54, where they now feature a 1.49% yield. The stock is down less than one percent so far this year.
