Realty Income Ups Dividend for 57th Straight Quarter


Realty Income Corporation (O) increased its monthly dividend late Tuesday, marking the 57th consecutive quarter the commercial REIT has given its shareholders a raise.

The new monthly payout of $0.1455 per share is 0.22% higher than the $0.1451875 per share paid each of the last three months by Realty Income, and a 0.87% improvement over the company’s payout during the same period last year.

Shares of O are currently trading at $33.79, where they now feature a 5.17% dividend yield.

Realty Income touts itself as “The Monthly Dividend Company” and has certainly lived up to that billing. Since being listed on the New York Stock Exchange in 1994, the company has never missed a monthly dividend, raising its payout 64 times over that span. The company has declared nearly 500 consecutive monthly dividends overall, going all the way back to 1970.
