Rogers Gives Shareholders Another Double-Digit Raise


Rogers Communications Inc. (RCI) announced an 11% increase to its dividend this morning, marking the eighth consecutive year the company has given its shareholders a double-digit raise.

The Canadian communications giant declared a quarterly dividend of C$0.395 per share, topping the C$0.35 per share it had paid each of the last four quarters. Rogers has achieved double-digit dividend growth every year dating back to 2005, improving its payout by more than 3,000% along the way.

Shares of RCI closed yesterday’s session trading at $37.90, where the new dividend rate (and current exchange rate) produces a 4.18% yield. The stock is down about 2% so far this year.
