NuStar Partnerships Increase Distributions Again
NuStar Energy (NS) declared a quarterly distribution of $1.095 per unit within today’s second quarter earning release, pushing its payout higher by 1.9%. The energy transporting partnership is currently on pace to improve its distribution output for the tenth consecutive year.
The new rate is a 2.8% improvement over the $1.065 per unit paid during the same period last year by NuStar, which has now given its unitholders 12 raises since the end of 2001, increasing its payout by a total of 83% during that period.
NS opened today’s session trading at $62.49, where it now yields 7.01%.
NuStar GP Holdings (NSH), which owns the general partner interest in NuStar Energy, also raised its payout today. The partnership declared a quarterly distribution of $0.495 per unit within its second quarter earnings release, which is a 3.1% increase over its prior payout and a 7.6% improvement over its distribution during the same period last year. Nustar GP Holdings has increased its distribution total every year since it began returning cash to unitholders in 2007.
NSH opened today’s session trading at $36.03, where it now yields 5.50%.
