Norfolk Southern Delivers Yet Another Dividend Hike


Norfolk Southern Corporation (NSC) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.43 per share today, which is a 7.5% increase over its previous payout and a 19.4% improvement over the dividend paid during the same period last year by the railroad.

This is the second dividend hike this year from Norfolk Southern, which gave shareholders an 11% raise in January and is currently on pace to improve its dividend output for the tenth consecutive year. The railroad has raised its payout by a stunning 617% during the streak. Choo choo, indeed.

Shares of NSC are currently trading at $75.30, where they now feature a 2.28% dividend yield.
