Nike Reaches a Decade of Dividend Growth
Nike (NKE) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.36 per share after today’s closing bell, which is a 16% improvement over the $0.31 per share paid each of the previous four quarters by the athletic apparel giant.
This is the largest dividend hike from Nike since increasing its payout by 24% in 2007, and marks the tenth consecutive year the company has given its shareholders a raise. Nike has now improved its dividend by 500% during its decade-long streak.
Shares of NKE closed Thursday’s session trading at $91.89, where they now yield 1.57%.
