Monsanto Lifts Dividend by 7%


Monsanto Company (MON) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.30 per share today, which is a 7.1% increase over the $0.28 paid by the company each of the previous four quarters. The provider of agricultural products is currently on pace to improve its dividend output for the tenth consecutive year.

Monsanto initiated its payout in 2001 and has increased its dividend total every year, lifting its rate by a total of 133% during its decade as a dividend-paying company.

Shares of MON are currently trading at $70.82, where they now carry a 1.69% dividend yield. The stock is up more than 27% since its yield briefly climbed over the 2% threshold last September.
