EMCOR Initiates Quarterly Dividend, Yields 1%

EMCOR Group (EME) declared a quarterly dividend of $0.05 per share today, a first for the electrical and mechanical construction and facilities services company.

Analysts currently expect EMCOR, which also announced a $100 million share repurchase program in the same press release, to earn $2.28 per share in 2012. That gives the company a paltry 9% forward payout ratio, leaving plenty of room for bold dividend growth down the road.

Shares of EME are currently trading at $19.40, where they now feature a shiny new 1.03% dividend yield.
